🌿 Welcome to the Cougar Den!

Our Magical TK/K Garden started as a sweet idea blossomed by Katie West and Lauren KomarczykCobblestone PTC and generous donations from Home Depot, Tractor Supply, and Hastie’s in 2023-2024.

We’re so excited to share the joy and magic of the Cougar Den our special TK/K garden! This little patch of sunshine has grown into something truly beautiful thanks to our amazing Cobblestone families, volunteers, and community partners.

its Blossomed more in  last spring under the loving care of Katie West, with tons of support from Lauren Komarczyk, Urooj Fayyaz, the Cobblestone PTC, Parent Volunteers and generous donations from Home Depot and Green Acres.

🌸 What’s Inside the Cougar Den?

Our garden is full of fun and hands-on learning, featuring three magical mini-gardens:

🌿 Smell Garden – full of deliciously fragrant herbs
🍅 Taste Garden – home to two giant tomato plants, Cucumbers, egg plant and Artichoke (yum!)
🤲 Touch Garden – packed with all kinds of plants to feel and explore

We also have a cheerful Cougar Code sign to remind our little gardeners to:
💚 Be kind to the garden
💚 Make good choices with plants
💚 Work together when solving garden problems

🌻 Coming Soon: Fall & Spring Planting Adventures

This fall, we’re teaming up with TK/K teachers to pick new goodies to plant—think leafy greens, root veggies, and fresh herbs.
In the spring, each student will decorate their own flower pot and plant a cheerful sunflower to take home as a keepsake!

🧑‍🌾 Let’s Grow Together – We Need You!

Thanks to our wonderful parent volunteers, students have been visiting the garden weekly to water, count tomatoes, sniff herbs, and explore the magic of nature. Some even got to taste their hard work how cool is that?

The Cougar Den is a labor of love, and we’d be thrilled to have more helping hands. If you’re interested in joining the fun, please fill out the short volunteer form below.

Let’s keep the Cougar Den blooming together! 🌼
